HYW2500E
The HYW2500E is the largest model in Hyundai's range of electric pressure washers. Providing a pressure of up to 2610psi (180bar) and a flow rate of 8.5L/min, it’s a great option for quickly and effectively washing cars, patios, outdoor furniture, decking, and more.
To help ensure that your HYW2500E is kept in optimal condition, we've detailed some basic maintenance advice below:
⚠️ PLEASE NOTE: You must read and understand the your HYW2500E's operating manual before operating or undertaking any maintenance.
⚠️ PLEASE NOTE: Before undertaking any maintenance you need to switch the machine off and disconnect the mains power supply.
It is good practice to regularly check your HYW2500E to ensure all nuts, bolts, and screws are tightened to ensure it is in safe working condition. Check to see if there are any leaks, and if any components are found to have become worn or damaged, these should be replaced for safety. Please note, you should only use manufacturer recommended parts and accessories; contact our dedicated parts supplier Power Spares for further information.
Cleaning
⚠️ PLEASE NOTE: Before cleaning you MUST switch the machine off AND disconnect the mains power supply.
Cleaning your HYW2500E after use can prolong its operation and help prevent the build-up of dust and dirt that can cause damage over time. The HYW2500E can be easily cleaned by wiping down with a clean, dry cloth to remove any dirt, grease, etc.
Although this is a pressure washer, you should not use water on any part of the main unit when cleaning, and you should also avoid using any solvents when cleaning plastic components; most plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use.
Troubleshooting
⚠️ WARNING: This appliance is equipped with a motor protection device: In case of intervention, wait a few minutes then disconnect and re-connect the product to the electric system. If this problem happens again or if the product does not start again, take the product to your service dealer or contact Hyundai Aftersales for further assistance.
- Machine will not start:
In the event your pressure washer fails to start, first check whether the voltage shown on the rating plate corresponds to that of the power source being used. Next, check the fuse in your mains plug, replacing if necessary.
If this does not resolve the issue, your cable could be damaged and this should also be checked for any signs of damage.
- Machine does not reach operational pressure:
If your machine is failing to reach operational pressure, begin by venting your appliance: allow the pump to operate without the high-pressure hose until water appears at the high-pressure outlet without any bubbles. Once done, you can then re-attach the high-pressure hose. See this short video below for further detail:
If this does not resolve the issue, try cleaning the strainer in the water connection, and (if set) the filter placed inside the hose coupling (see diagram below).
Once this has been done, check the inlet water flow rate, and all inlet pipes to the pump, for any leaks or blockages.
- Strong pressure fluctuations:
If you are encountering significant pressure fluctuations whilst using your pressure washer, the high-pressure nozzle may require cleaning; you can remove dirt from the nozzle hole with a needle (not included), before rinsing out with water from the front. See example below:
Replacement nozzles and other spare parts can be purchased from our website: Power Spares.
- Pump Leakage
In the event of a leaks from the pump, it is advised that a flow rate of up to 10 drops per minute is permissible/to be expected. However, in the case of any serious leakage in excess of this, you should contact your service dealer for further advice.
WE HOPE THIS TROUBLESHOOTING CAN HELP RESOLVE YOUR ISSUE
