How to add & drain Oil and Fuel in your Hyundai Diesel Generator ( DHY6000SE / 8000SELR / 8000SELR-T )

This is a quick guide to help you get started with your new Hyundai Backup Petrol Generator - https://hyundaipowerequipment.co.uk/generators/diesel/3000-rpm/

In the above video, you will be shown the process of adding fuel and oil to our diesel generators, specifically the DHY6000SE / 8000SELR / 8000SELR-T units. If you find your generator has been shipped with no oil then this guide will assist you with:

1. ADD OIL:

• 0:00 - 0:15 - Locating the oil filler cap
• 0:15 - 0:18 - Push the fuel line to the side
• 0:29 - 0:36 - Undo the dip stick anti-clockwise
• 0:50 - 1:20 - Fill oil to the rear point of the top of the hole
• 1:20 - 1:32 - Put the dip stick back on

2. ADD DIESEL:

• • 1:35 - 1:46 - Adding Diesel
  • Remove the cap
  • Put at least 10L of Diesel

3. HOW TO START THE UNIT:

• 1:46 - 2:00 
  • Breaker OFF
  • Turn key to the ON position and crank it over

4. IF IT IS COUGHING, SPLUTTERING OR NOT STARTING: May need to bleed the diesel

4.1: Emergency Stop: 2:08 - 2:20

• Push in the Emergency Stop
• Rotate Clockwise to pull out

4.2: Check Fuel Filter and if there is less fuel than required:

• 2:30 - 4:33 - need to remove fuel black pipe to release the air and put it back with safety and precautions
• 4:48 - 5:05 - put the governor to the right on RUN position
• 5:06 - 5:14 - make sure the Emergency Stop is popped out
