This guide assumes that you are experienced, safe and responsible when working with electricity. When in doubt, contact a trained electrician.
PRECAUTIONS:
- ALWAYS ENSURE THAT YOU RUN GENERATORS IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA.
- DO NOT ATTEMPT ANY OF THESE DIAGNOSTICS IF YOU ARE NOT COMPATIBLE IN YOUR ABILITY TO DO SO.
- WHEN IN DOUBT, USE A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN
1. ELECTRICAL DIAGNOSIS:
- 0:24 - 0:30 - Meter showing zero but power coming out
- 0:32 - 0:53 - Basic checks to see if there is power coming out
2. No Output Diagnosis:
2.1 AVR CHECK:
- 1:02 - 1:40 - Check output with a multimeter when engine is running
- 1:50 - 2:01 - Possibilities which could be causing no output
- 2:02 - 2:48 - How to remove the Control Panel
- 2:49 - 6:42 - Wires verification for Control Panel (PLEASE GO AHEAD IF YOU THINK YOU ARE CAPABLE IF NOT PLEASE LOOK FOR AN ELECTRICIAN)
