Troubleshooting steps | Diagnosing No Output on your Hyundai 3000rpm Generator (DHY6000SE, DHY8000SELR, DHY8000SELR-T)

On very rare occasions you may have no output on your Hyundai 3000RPM Generator, here's a step-by-step guide on all of the possible fixes you can perform.

This guide assumes that you are experienced, safe and responsible when working with electricity. When in doubt, contact a trained electrician.

PRECAUTIONS:

• ALWAYS ENSURE THAT YOU RUN GENERATORS IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA.
• DO NOT ATTEMPT ANY OF THESE DIAGNOSTICS IF YOU ARE NOT COMPATIBLE IN YOUR ABILITY TO DO SO.
• WHEN IN DOUBT, USE A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN

1. ELECTRICAL DIAGNOSIS:

• 0:24 - 0:30 - Meter showing zero but power coming out 
• 0:32 - 0:53 - Basic checks to see if there is power coming out

2. No Output Diagnosis:

2.1 AVR CHECK:

• 1:02 - 1:40 - Check output with a multimeter when engine is running
• 1:50 - 2:01 -  Possibilities which could be causing no output
• 2:02 - 2:48 - How to remove the Control Panel
• 2:49 - 6:42 - Wires verification for Control Panel (PLEASE GO AHEAD IF YOU THINK YOU ARE CAPABLE IF NOT PLEASE LOOK FOR AN ELECTRICIAN)
• 6:55 - 7:14 -  If showing low voltage(for e.g, 6V) then there is an AVR issue
• 7:15 - 8:30 - How to get access to the AVR
• 8:31 - 9:05 - How to know if the AVR is in working condition (Please Note: The fault may not be visible on the AVR)
• 9:06 - 9:30 - How to disconnect the AVR
• 9:31 - 10:33 - Add cables to keep on having 12V
• 10:34 - 11:43 - Description and result after the above steps have been completed

2.2 Alternator failed/ Issue with the brushes:
