Important
- Do not touch parts that might be hot from operation. Allow parts to cool before attempting to maintain, adjust, or service.
- Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the machine in unexpected situations. Extending your body too far can result in a loss of balance and you may fall which will result in injury.
General Maintenance
- Turn OFF the machine, allow all moving parts to come to a complete stop, and disconnect the power cord before maintaining the machine.
You need to wear proper clothing and protective gloves whenever your hands are
at risk. - Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure the machine is in a safe working
condition. - • Replace worn or damaged parts for safety. Only use manufacturerrecommended parts and accessories
Changing the Blade
- Turn OFF the machine, allow all moving parts to come to a complete stop, and disconnect the power cord before maintaining the machine.
You need to wear proper clothing and protective gloves whenever your hands are
at risk. - To stop the blade rotating you must pull the Spindle Lock (4). Whilst holding the Spindle Lock, carefully rotate the blade until stops.
- Loosen the Guard Screw (A) and push guard upward revealing the Arbor bolt (B).
- The Arbor Bolt uses a left handed thread, so Right to Loosen and Left to tighten. This is the OPPOSITE to “normal” right handed threads.
Use the Hex Key included to loosen the Arbor Bolt (B). This will allow you to
remove the blade. - Replace the blade with one suitable for this machine, and ensure the blade
direction is correct. - Follow the above steps in reverse to secure the replacement blade.
Zeroing the Blade
NOTE: To correctly Zero the blade, tools not included within the box are required.
- Firstly place a Square on the Table of the machine, resting against the blade
- Using a light source i.e a torch or smart phone, try and shine the light from behind the Square. If you can see light clearly between the Square and the Blade some adjustment is needed.
- Use the include Hex Tool to adjust the Angle Grub Screw (C) by turning it left/right, you adjust the resting angle of the machine when sat at 900 or Zero on the Bevel Scale.
